Lower48 Kitchen
Location: 2020 Lawrence Street | Denver, CO

Working with owners Mario Nocifera & Alex Figura for almost 18 months prior to the commencement of construction to help conceptualize and execute what is now a highly acclaimed new restaurant in Downtown Denver. “Lower48 has turned a forgotten corner of the Ballpark neighborhood into a dining destination” – Westword ‘Best New Restaurant 2014’. Numerous design elements are from reclaimed parts of American ingenuity. From the bar shelving made from 18-foot wood planks from the bottom of a 1950’s made in the USA semi-truck trailer; to a wall-mounted 1,100-pound train track art installation the owners came up with utilizing two telegraph poles from the turn of the century and sourced outside Truckee, CA. The fun of this project was underscored by the owners’ creativity and drive to create a very special place right in the heart of Denver.
